Mexico stocks higher at close of trade; S&P/BMV IPC up 0.06%

Investing.com – Mexico stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Industrials, Consumer Goods & Services and Consumer Staples sectors led shares higher.

At the close in Mexico, the S&P/BMV IPC rose 0.06%.

The best performers of the session on the S&P/BMV IPC were Grupo Aeroportuario Del CentroNorte (BMV:OMAB), which rose 5.70% or 9.36 points to trade at 173.48 at the close. Meanwhile, Grupo Aeroportuario Del Sureste (BMV:ASURB) added 4.81% or 25.61 points to end at 558.47 and Promotora y Operadora de Infraestructura SAB de CV (BMV:PINFRA) was up 4.19% or 7.24 points to 180.01 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Cemex SAB de CV (BMV:CEMEXCPO), which fell 8.04% or 0.96 points to trade at 10.98 at the close. Alfa, S.A.B. De C.V. (BMV:ALFAA) declined 3.79% or 0.56 points to end at 14.23 and Qualitas Controladora, SAB De CV (BMV:Q) was down 2.54% or 3.60 points to 138.31.

Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Mexico Stock Exchange by 140 to 92 and 15 ended unchanged.

Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.01% or 0.20 to $2,754.80 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in December fell 5.25% or 3.77 to hit $68.01 a barrel, while the January Brent oil contract unchanged 0.00% or 0.00 to trade at $71.60 a barrel.

USD/MXN was up 0.05% to 20.03, while EUR/MXN fell 0.06% to 21.66.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.05% at 104.18.
